Artist's Comments

Ganapati (Ganesha) is the leader of Shiva's armies in Hindu mythology. It is very rare to see Ganapati in an agressive state, thus leading me to paint this image.

13" x 20"

Watercolor on Paper

Very dynamic, and nice colors.

I always thought Ganesha was more of a peaceful god... but very dynamic pose all the same!

if you can't do it naked it's not worth doing!

If you ever wondered why he's holding an axe in most of his statuary, that's why. Vedic Gods are dynamic in every way imaginable. Thanks!

Beautiful! It really captures an aspect most people have trouble seeing. I'm glad I'm on Their side. Great work, I love the colors.

GANESH GONNA KICK SOME ASS

How strange. I did not know that about Ganesh. I actually have a couple of statues of him. Do you know the story about how he lost his head?
